First Timers Golf

First Timers Golf Outing is a dedicated initiative aimed at introducing the wonderful sport of golf to Minnesota’s diverse immigrant community. We are passionate about making golf accessible and enjoyable for individuals exploring this sport for the first time.

Programs and Activities

Family-Friendly Golf Events

  • Kid-friendly golf clinics, mini-golf sessions, or family tournaments to make golf more accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Encourage family participation to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity among generations.

Golf Basics Workshop/Lessons

  • A program designed specifically for newcomers, providing an introduction to golf basics, rules, and etiquette.
  • Conducted by experienced instructors who cater to diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Emphasis on creating a comfortable and supportive environment for learning and trying out golf swings.

Community Golf Outings

  • Regular golf outings where newcomers, alongside experienced golfers and volunteers, play rounds of golf together.
  • Designed to encourage friendships, teamwork, and the opportunity to practice skills in a supportive environment.
  • Opportunities for participants to bond, exchange experiences, and build lasting friendships beyond the golf course.

Each program aims to align with the vision of making golf accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive for Minnesota’s immigrant community, focusing on learning, cultural and social interaction, and creating a sense of belonging within the golfing community.
